Consumer Protection

When you buy from a merchant showing our seal (like the one below) on their auction or website, just click on it and you will be redirected to its membership page at our website. Then you know that you can buy with confidence, from that merchant, because:
  • Their identity is authenticated by us

  • Fair Trade Authority does many checks to insure the validity of the identity of the merchant, including (but not limited to) an IP-address-to-location cross reference, a physical address validation, an email address - domain name match check and personalized periodical calls for ensuring that the merchant is related to the submitted telephone number and that it stays like that.
  • They agreed to the FTA Merchant Code of Ethics

  • All the merchants verified and certified by the Fair Trade Authority have agreed to stick to clear, simple, but strict rules in conducting their business and in dealing with consumers: fair play is their first concern when it comes to business.
  • They respect and protect consumer privacy

  • Your personal data will never be given away or used for a different purpose than the one specified when they were collected, without your consent.
  • They agreed to resolve legitimate consumer complaints promptly

  • They care of you and they know that an unhappy customer can turn into a happy one, if a complaint is dealt in a professional, fair and timely manner.
  • They agreed to comply with legitimate consumers refund requests

  • Whenever you have the right to get a refund, you will get it in no time, no strings attached.
  • Your purchases from that merchant are protected for up to $300 against fraud

  • If you incurred a fraud perpetrated by a verified Fair Trade Authority merchant, we pay you up to $300 for recovering the loss that you have suffered with that merchant.
  • You will get FREE consultation in additional appropriate actions to take against fraud and scam perpetrated by the merchant

  • If you get scammed by a verified Fair Trade Authority merchant, we will give you all our help in taking the most appropriate action against that merchant, and we will eventually give evidence in your favour in any legal sight.
  • We will assist you with any eventual issue with the merchant 24/7, taking care of your case

  • If you had an issue with a verified Fair Trade Authority merchant, you can file a complaint against that merchant: we will promptly review it and take the necessary action to help you to solve the matter. If it is not a verified FTA merchant, you can still file a complaint: however, we reserve the right to ask you to pay a fee for our mediation, which of course you can accept or refuse.
All this will not cost you a cent! For having all the above you just have to make sure that you make business with a merchant (website or auctioneer) being FTA-verified and showing the Fair Trade Authority seal on their website/auctions.
